About Us

After many holidays on the Costa Brava, we started dreaming about having our own place in the south of Europe. In October 2017, we made that dream come true and bought Can Massanet in the hills near Llagostera—even though people told us it was a ruin!

For a few years, we worked on the house during our summer holidays. Then, in 2021, we decided to move to Spain full-time and focus on restoring this beautiful old Catalan Masia.

It wasn’t always easy—our jobs in the Netherlands had nothing to do with building or renovating—but we learned along the way. Now, we’re proud to share this special place with guests looking for peace, nature, cycling and a bit of adventure.

We’ve now lived here for over three years and love the surroundings—between the sea and the mountains. The mild weather lets us enjoy lunch outside almost every day!
