Fires de Sant Narcís – Girona’s Great Autumn Festival
Every year at the end of October, Girona celebrates its patron saint, Sant Narcís, with ten days of music, culture, and fun. The Fires de Sant Narcís fill the city with concerts, food stalls, fireworks, and the lively atmosphere of a true Catalan fiesta. The main fair takes place in La Devesa Park, surrounded by its beautiful old plane trees. You can enjoy traditional events such as giant parades, human towers (castells), and sardana dances, along with modern concerts and attractions. The festival usually runs from 24 October to 2 November, ending with a spectacular fireworks show. It’s one of the best times to see Girona full of life. Discover the Gavarres Massif: Nature, Silence, and Endless Views
Just a very short drive from Can Massanet lies one of the Costa Brava’s best-kept secrets: the Gavarres Massif (Les Gavarres). This low mountain range, stretching between Girona and the coastal town of Palamós, offers a quiet, green escape where nature, history, and tradition go hand in hand.
